Alright I got everything up and running.  I used the xcm blue x-cut case.......I replaced all of the SMD resistors to make them work with 5v....  Installed the pulseVU and here is the result:

note: the 5v indicated in the tutorial does not give 5v power in standby....I used another place I found......I will post pics tomorrow for people that want to use the same 5v source.

Very Nice! Looks like the case was made for that! ;-)

Are you sure that you used the right power point? It should work in standby.

Yup, the 5v source that was in the tutorial did not supply 5v in standby.....I believe the tutorial has been fixed now to reflect that!
